Our Tour Programs

Based on the latest update from the BC Government all tours have been cancelled until further notice. The Bateman Gallery is still open to visitors, and we have increased our cleaning protocols to ensure it remains a safe, welcoming space for Victorians in these difficult times. We will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and update our operations as it develops.

Take a 45-minute tour through the gallery with one of our docents, who will guide you through our temporary and permanent exhibits. Listen to stories behind the creation of the work, learning about Robert and his evolution as an artist. As an added bonus, your tour gives you access to the gallery for the whole day, so you and your group are free to stroll through the gallery at your leisure.

Complimentary Tours

Local charities and not-for-profits can apply for a complimentary tour of the Gallery of Nature. Your group will enjoy a 45-minute guided tour through the gallery at no cost! To apply email and tell us about your organization, and why your group would benefit from a guided tour.

Weekly Public Tours

Every Tuesday and Saturday at 2pm, join our 45-minute guided tour of our temporary and permanent exhibits. Public tours are free with your purchase of admission. No booking required, simply stop by the front desk and ask to join. We’d love to have you!

*If you have a large group we encourage you to book your own tour time with us. For this reason, we are unable to offer a 15% discount during Public Tours.

Unguided Visit

By securing your spot in advance, we can guarantee that no other organized program will take place at the same time – this way your group can enjoy the gallery at its most serene. You are also entitled to a 15% discount when you book and pay for a group over 10 people.
