Gallery

The Bateman Gallery illuminates the wonders of the natural world, shares environmental knowledge, and deepens human-nature connection. It is home to a permanent collection of Robert Bateman’s work and a rotation of exhibits by other ecological artists who uphold his legacy.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Our Robert Bateman: Heart & Home and The World of Robert Bateman exhibitions will come to an end in mid-February. Be sure you come see them before they’re gone.

Thank you to everyone who visited and made possible these unique and special exhibitions.

Following the confirmation of an interim location as we work on an opportunity to develop a new custom gallery space, we are looking to re-launch exhibits in early April 2023. Please check back to see updates.

The Bateman Gallery is open with safety procedures in place. There are no longer capacity limits for our gallery and shop. Your safety continues to be our priority.

We offer admission by donation every third Thursday of the month from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Bateman Gallery is committed to be accessible to all. There are special occasions where we run event or programming that will impact our available hours. Please note the following dates and times the gallery will not be available to the public.

July 1, 2020 – February 18, 2023

Robert Bateman has spent his life immersed in the natural world. A renowned naturalist and artist, he imbues a deep knowledge into his works, bringing attention to the beauty and particularity of nature.

Environmental Impact II

February 4, 2022 – May 28, 2022

This exhibition will feature prominent contemporary artists, including Robert Bateman, who focus on environmental issues. This work brings an awareness of the consequences of human action, or inaction, on our world. The exhibit is being produced by David J. Wagner and is a continuation of traveling exhibits that began in 2019 as a sequel to Environmental Impact I.
