Vancouver: Watercolour Nature Painting

This 5 session watercolour course, led by local Vancouver artist Maggie Chow, will help you develop your technical art skills and set your preferences for materials and methods as you develop the confidence to sketch or draw with watercolours anywhere outdoors.
Maggie will teach you how to get loose and work from observation, as you take in the local flora and fauna. You will learn to combine drawing and watercolour in your sketches, as well as basic composition, perspective, art, and design principles and an understanding of the colour reference system for the natural world.
No need to purchase any supplies for the first day. Your instructor will introduce different watercolour and materials that are suitable and practical for outdoor use.

• Size 6 watercolour brush

• Clipboard or thick cardboard to support your sketchbook, portable chair to sit
