Telling your story through photographs
Educator program with photographer Robert Lemermeyer
November 30, 2021 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am PST

In 2017, Robert Lemermeyer started hiking in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. What began as a challenge to conquer these peaks was soon replaced by a deepening relationship with his son, Yuri, and a growing passion for landscape photography. Robert discovered that his time spent in nature provided a positive boost to his mental health and wellbeing. With each scramble, the transformative power of nature was unlocked. The photographs in Relief speak of Robert’s gratitude for these spaces; for their endless inspiration, and the precious natural wilderness.
Join Robert in an education program focusing on telling your story through photographs. Robert will guide us through the exhibit of his artwork sharing stories about his time in the Rockies and how it evolved into the introspection of his own life, mental health & wellness. He will then lead the students in an activity on storytelling through photography. Students will work on a photography exercise and then head back to the classroom to explore the activity on a deeper level.
