The Bateman Foundation regularly offers a wide variety of educational programs for students from all grade levels. We are excited to offer yet another Professional Development Workshop available, FREE OF CHARGE, for Victoria area teachers!
On Friday October 25th, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, join our educational staff at the Gallery for a morning of learning, art, and nature.
Included in this workshop will be: a mini gallery tour and information about Robert Bateman and his art, presentations from our educators about our available programs, as well as a hands-on, outdoor experience of our Nature Sketch education program!
We will also be featuring a short presentation by our guest artist from Australia, Kim Toft, who is here for a limited time and is excited to work with your students while she is here!
This workshop is catered to your learning as a teacher about art and nature, and how you can implement the values of The Bateman Foundation with your students in your classroom. Our enquiry based education programs are linked to the new BC curriculum and competencies. Each one is enriched with the integration of literacy, fine arts and stewardship of our natural world. These can be done in the gallery, in the classroom, or a combination of both!
Register now to save your spot! We hope to see your class at the Gallery this school year!
