NatureSketch Richmond

This 5-week adult nature drawing course is taught by Vancouver artist and naturalist Bea Martin. Explore outdoor locations in Richmond as Bea guides you through art fundamentals such as line drawing, understanding shapes, and shading techniques, using Robert Bateman’s artistic techniques and principles.
By the end of this course you will learn to draw what you see and observe, understand the basics of value, texture, light, and shadow, and understand that everything is made of basic shapes. You’ll even learn some basics of nature journaling and new understandings of the animals and plants you find on your nature journey. A sketchbook will be provided for you.
