NatureSketch Online: Aquatic Life

Join us in celebrating our aquatic creatures with acclaimed children’s book illustrator Val Lawton.

In this 4-week NatureSketch Online: Aquatic Life course, you will learn art fundamentals such as line drawing, understanding shapes and shading techniques, with a fresh and fun approach that will encourage budding artists to create beautiful nature sketches. Using eco-literacy principles from world-renowned artist and naturalist, Robert Bateman, we encourage participants to connect to nature through art and observation.

We will be covering how to draw an assortment of animals that live aquatically , understanding the basics of value, texture, light, and shadow, understand that everything is made of basic shapes, and learn some basics of nature journaling and new understandings of some animals and plants.
